1 WHOLE Year!

Kinley is a year. That's old news. I just haven't updated this her blog yet. Which is so helpful when referring back to Kinley's little life.

  • Kinley is walking like crazy and even tries to run. But the running usually ends with her on the ground. She hasn't quite mastered it yet. Oh but she will.
  • She is a little performer. She loves the spotlight and loves to make sure people are watching her while she does cool things.
  • She "says" some things, but are probably only understandable to those who know her best. She tries to mimic lots of words and gets intonation pretty good and some similar sounds. She says "daddy, doggy, uh oh, momma, thank you, yum." To name a few. Mommy isn't quite mommy...its more like "Na na."
  • She has learned to throw tantrums. Luckily they are so short lived, like 5 seconds and we are done. But still I'm like "NOOOO!!!! why?!?!?" She pouts for a minute throws her bum on the ground and says "ehhh ehhh" and whines a bit with it. I think mostly she is just frustrated that she can't really communicate her wants/needs to us quite yet.
  • She loves playing with her cousins and follows them around everywhere they go.
  • She loves to play in Sparky's dog food and will eat it if I don't catch her soon enough.
  • If she is outside you will most likely find rocks in her mouth.
  • She doesn't quite like food as much as she used to. She is just too busy for it. The only way I can get her to eat is to let her walk around and have her walk to the table whenever she wants a bite.
We had a big party bash with my family and Taylor's family. Kinley ate some red velvet cake and then a few hours later threw up some sparkly red velvet cake. Lol.

We played a fun game that Taylor and I came up with. It was a trivia game that was all about Kinley. I think I will post an attachment because I honestly think it is like the coolest thing ever. And I usually don't think my ideas are that cool but I think everyone should play this game at their child's first birthday. And if you do you can just ask me for a copy of mine and modify it since I've already done the work for it.

It was during this game that we announced to our families that we are due with baby #2 on Halloween. I think it was safe to say everyone was shocked. Draws dropped, confusion swirled around the room, and we got some blank stares. Lol.

Kinley had fun, and she enjoyed seeing everyone and opening presents. :)

There is the link to the game. For some reason it has disabled all my hyperlinks so clicking on the number won't take you to the proper question. But you can just click through and go through the whole slideshow or if you hover to the left of the web browser it will show a view of all the slides and you can maneuver through it like that. If you want to see the game in all its glory (HA!) ask me for a copy and I can e-mail you the file.

Am I the only one that thinks this is cool or what? I really am bummed it isn't working properly because seriously it's awesome!!!
